A significant witness in the O.J. Simpson case has proposed a theory concerning the fate of the murder weapon. Once a prominent NFL player, Simpson’s public image deteriorated in 1994 when he was accused of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Following an extensive trial that spanned from November 1994 to October 1995, Simpson was acquitted, despite allegations of domestic abuse during his marriage. The investigation remains unresolved.
The Netflix documentary “American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson” revisits this high-profile case. One of the enduring enigmas is the missing murder weapon, a knife that was never discovered or presented as evidence. In the documentary, witness Skip Junis recounted observing Simpson at the airport with multiple Louis Vuitton bags, alongside a less expensive bag that he kept hidden. Junis stated that before boarding his flight, Simpson removed “something long” from the bag and discarded it in a trash receptacle. The documentary also revisits the infamous police chase involving Simpson’s white Ford Bronco prior to his surrender.
