The 37-year-old actress unintentionally dismissed a sincere gesture from one of her devoted young admirers who sought to present her with a token of affection.
This event occurred amidst a throng of paparazzi who, predictably, documented the entire incident with their cameras. At the age of 11, Harvey Kindlon, a resident of London, was among the many fans who gathered to show their support for Megan during her promotional activities for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in the UK.
Megan’s role as Mikaela Banes, the girlfriend of Shia LaBeouf’s character Sam Witwicky in the sci-fi action series, propelled her to fame. This resulted in a situation where men figuratively fell at her feet, and numerous young boys aspired to win her attention. Will/GC Images
During Megan’s visit to London in June 2009, Harvey seized the opportunity to make his move.
The now-notorious photographs depict him making a fervent attempt to approach Machine Gun Kelly’s fiancée while she was being escorted by security. Harvey appeared exceedingly eager to present his gift, extending it within inches of her face. However, despite his earnest efforts, she seemed to overlook the young fan and continued past him, wearing a rather displeased expression.
The images capturing this unsuccessful encounter quickly garnered international attention, sparking a wave of sympathy for the 11-year-old, who became known as ‘Rose Boy’ online. Even in the schoolyard, Harvey faced teasing regarding the cold reception he received, as the story continued to gain momentum.
